Galentine's Dinner

JAN 2019

I love a good dinner especially with all the girls. Wine, Chocolates & tacos are girls best friend.

When designing this dinner, I wanted to do something a little different with the color scheme. I mean I love the color red, but everyone seems to design around the color red for Valentine's day. So instead I went with a pink & purple color scheme. Put together this whole design in 6 days.

The Inspiration Board

Every design I do whether big or small always has a design inspiration board with images pulled from the web and or Pinterest. (I do not own any of these images.) It's always fun to see a design come to life from inspiration.

DETAILS TO LOOK FOR

  • Heart Balloons

  • Luxury table top rentals

  • Custom design

  • Tasty treats

  • Wine

  • Pretty tablescape

  • Taco bar

The Tablescape

The tablescape, I wanted it to be fun, sophisticated, yet still girly. I used white as a base color, pink & purple were used as a pop of color here.

The tablescape felt a bit more glamorous because of the higher end tabletop rentals. Which I think is an amazing idea & gave it an instant glam feel.

Stemware, cutlery & plate ware were provided by our friends over at Hostess Haven. Each place setting had a candle embellished with a label tag made by Paper + Things.

Of course it wouldn't be a girls night without some Stella Rosa wine & sweets, which we made sure to have plenty of it on the table.

You can also see the tablescape also had some treats made by our friend Susie with One Sweet Party.

Each guest went home with a fun bag full of self care items.

The Sweet Table

I'm known for always doing very detailed dessert tables. But with this one I went with a simpler design, with just the right amount of pizzazz and treats.

Seriously, can't get over these cookies. The detail is insane. Too pretty to eat.

Susie from One Sweet Party designed some amazing cookies and chocolate covered strawberries with all the perfect details.

She hit it out of the park with nailing the color scheme & theme.

I mean look at this cookie stack.

It wouldn't be a Valentine's day dinner without a love & hearts, which is why I used a lot of balloons. I flanked one side of the dessert table with latex heart balloons in coordinating colors.

Taco Bar

When we had this dinner it happen to land on a Tuesday, so whats better than hanging with your girls for dinner? Well having taco bar duh.

So I put together an impromptu taco bar. Used a few pieces I had on hand that matched our color scheme to pull together the over all look.

Ahh, this was so much fun. & totally should be on every girl gang to do list as a Galentine's get together.
